Swimming pool solar panels need to be drained to allow the water to drain out of the panels. It is also recommended to blow air through the collector to remove water that could be trapped. This is also a great time to inspect the collector panel for damage and inspect the mountings, make sure they are secure and ready for winter winds.
As a pool owner remember practice due diligence, keep your swimming pool service up, maintain the balance of your pool water, brush your pool plaster and pool time twice a month, and swimming pool equipment maintained throughout the cold months. Pool maintenance will make it easier, faster and less expensive to re-open your families’ swimming pool the following spring, and your family will be glad you did!
